My sister is 17 and recently visited a dentist. She was told they need to take out 4 wisdom teeth and it would cost 450$ each along with some tests I am guessing. So about $1800. And also need braces which they estimated another $3000-4000. She just has Molina healthcare and I don’t think the dental is covering anything. So I wanted to know is there any good dental insurance that would cover most of that cost? (In Southern California) #insurance #medical #health #dentalplans
Most dental plans have a maximum benefit. You could technically get better deals if you dont use dental plan and tell dentist that you are paying out of pocket. Also check groupon for braces
Dental insurance mostly works like insurance, that's why its cheap. If they would let people just pay the premium for couple of months and have the treatment, it wouldn't make a business sense. A lot of dental plans have waiting period of about 6 months / 1 year for these procedures. The cheapest option will be to fly to Mexico if you're in south.
