What tier would you put the company in? What’s compensation like?

Google Mickey Jun 21, 2018

Never heard of it.

😂

Oscar engineer here. Depending on what tier is. Pay wise probably between tier 2 and 3. Perk wise probably tier 3. WLB wise it’s tier 1. Ownership and impact are tier 1. Small team, quick iteration. After 1-2 months of training, new grads can expect to own something. Company outlook is tier 1. Competency is hard to measure, but people are smart, not all exFAANG, but everyone brings in unique skillsets and experience. Politics wise, tier 1 being drama free for most people....

Regarding comp, what would be the range for senior software engineer with 4yoe ?

Oscar tc/gtfo Jun 30, 2018

Unfortunately I don’t have that data available. Let just say we have a lot of ex FAANG and really smart people. So it’s fair to say pretty competitive, but I would not bet a 4 yr being senior and don’t see going to be beyond e4. I will guess around 150-180. I have no idea!

Can anyone talk about the interview difficulty from experience?

Facebook jjbros Dec 11, 2018

FB interviewer here. Coding interview wise very similar to big tech. Design interview was slightly simpler. Only 2 coding and 1 design for me.
