Thanks to everyone who comes in regularly and make the office a lively place to work in! For those who have preferred not to come in that often, while there are arguments to be made for working from home, we are missing you and would like to see you back in the office more regularly. Take advantage of the flexibility of hybrid working to avoid bad commute times or days where you have to stay home, while still being productive. If you haven’t heard it already, let me say it again: the new office is awesome! There are many benefits to coming into this place – whiteboarding, hallway discussions, coffee chats, gym, lunches ($15 allowance three times per week) and plenty of cool events from team presentations (Sip&Learn sessions that each group in the building will do in turn) to sports and games tournaments, etc. By not being present regularly, we create an invitation to take away dedicated cube spaces… which we do not want. This is our new home, and we want to keep it that way! Last but not least, Pekka, our CEO, is among us (on the 3rd floor) for the coming months. We really want to impress him by showing our forces at work (to that extent, please attend ‘his’ townhall this coming Wednesday on the 4th floor at 2 pm). For the next 3 months, I would strongly encourage everyone to come in at least 3 days a week. Please experiment the office! We will reevaluate around Thanksgiving if things need to be adjusted. You know schools have started, business are open 100% and pretty much rest of the world is open. It is only matter of time s/w companies go back to 5 days a week come 2023 Not sure what well-being are you talking about when you are getting free lunches and other cool things that many other companies don’t have. If you don’t like, just switch to remote only companies.
