Southwest Airlines perm(green card) policy

Hi Southwest Airlines SWEs, what is PERM(green card) policy at the company? Recruiter told me that I need to wait for 1 year, and after that I still need an approval from my manager and it also depends on the financial situation of the company. Nah. Too many reasons for them to say no. Try to go somewhere where they start the process on day 1. If not, join southwest till you can jump.

Thanks for the DP, I'm trying but it's really difficult to find a day-1 or even 3-months PERM company under current market :(

Yes, the perm process would start 12 mo after you join. They started 11mo after I joined. Your manager would approve it. It’s just a process.

Thanks! May I ask how long did it usually take it give I-140 at Southwest? Would it be very slow?

Is it negotiable when you join or it’s a fixed policy? Also, how smooth the PERM process there?
