Oracle vs Walmart labs
I received two offers recently as mentioned below: Offer 1 : Company - Oracle OCI Team/Org - OCI Developer Content and tools. ( Not sure about exact name though ) TC : (~38 ). 28L gross + 6L bonus + 5L stocks Role/position : IC2 Offer 2: Company - Walmart labs. Org - Sam's club. TC : ( ~32 ) 24 gross + 4.6 variable + 3.5 stock) Role/position : SDE 3 ( Java Backend ) My current ctc is 16L My priority would be quality of work first and then salary. Would really appreciate some information about both that would help me take a better decision. Thanks in advance! #tech #oraclecloud #walmartlabs

Can you add your current TC and breakup of all companies ? I had interviewed in OCI recently and was able to get 46 TC (32 base, 2 JB and 12 stocks) for IC2, so you can definitely get more. I am suspecting that you have a lower current TC than me, so OCI is not offering more

OCI is a sinking ship. Walmart has a solid position among the traditional retailers and is the only viable competitor to Amazon.
That's not true. Walmart is not a technical company. I worked there and can confirm. It's a non technical political and a caustic place where the manager is your supreme leader. This is not even a contest, OP should join OCI in a heartbeat
Yeah, at least OCI is doing tech. Walmart or any non-software company is a sweatshop, specially e-commerce
OCI cloud is too propriety and oracle use their own internal frameworks / tech so you will start feeling a gap between your cloud Knowledge and industry. Sams on the other hand is moving to azure and GCP and most of the projects are developing the application on azure from scratch so learning wise it would be a better choice. Check with recruiter which team you are moving and have a connect with your hiring manager to check on work.
I don’t know why you say OCI cloud is proprietary. Its better or at least same like AWS and GCP. OCI is infrastructure for customers like Walmart business to run like AWS or GCP.
