Snap vs Meta vs Google (L5)
Got reached out by a recruiter on LinkedIn where they didn't clearly specify the title or level, and I couldn't find anything online. TC: 200K, YOE: 5 #tech #datastax #cloud
Disregard the money unless you need a job. It's not worth it
Don’t join even if they offer you a lucrative compensation. Most of top management is crap and a group of yes people. You never know when you’re getting laid off, and you’re being constantly pushed hard and micromanaged
If you have other options I wouldn't join DataStax, currently looking to leave my role due to a lot of what the other comments have explained. The environment is toxic, top level management in charge of departments with no experience, leaves experienced people in departments with no say or voice. Multiple layoffs every month since December 2022.
My cousin left there for a better environment. They refused to hire more people in his team, so he was one of two and always on call as the only senior engineer. I think he made 180k base and 50k in stock options. That's at staff level with 20 yoe.
