Has anyone seen IKEA prices recently? Everything is completely ridiculously priced. Especially given the not so great quality of their products.
Yea it used to be the number one place for junk you could use cheap, or "hack" furniture to your needs. That time is over and I'm out. Also, more and more items went to china, and you can feel the quality diff.
Meaning they manufacture in China now? Where do you buy furniture nowadays?
For the cheaper stuff: Wayfair is good for online direct to door delivery Target has really stepped up their furniture and housewares game recently and a lot of their higher end store brand (Threshold, Project 86) stuff is cheaper, easier to find in stock and better quality than comparable IKEA products, especially for kitchenware and flat-pack furniture.
Cafeteria also became ridiculously expensive
Some of their stuff never was that cheap. Check out Costco
I remember buying from them cabinets for like 40 and how same thing is 150. Couldn’t believe what I was seeing
Any recommendations of good furniture store?
Which rooms, what tier (high end, value, mid?). Generally I like Costco, Ikea, sometimes Macy’s furniture only if it’s on sale. Scandinavian designs have the Ikea aesthetic but is a bit more expensive.
Yeah But second hand
