Rapid7 culture

Hi all, I'm in the interview process with rapid7 and wondering if anyone can tell me what it's like to work there. The role is a Devops role. #benefits

The culture is excellent! Helpful coworkers, and flexible work from home. You can easily walk up to anyone, and they will be open and receptive to helping you out. Great office perks, team building, and internal company events too.

Hi sjqa05, 1 year into it, how do you like it? How do you seen the outlook for company growth 1 out of 10? How many RSUs do they give for 10 YOE? Thanks

A lot of reviews on Glassdoor indicate it's not a great work/life balance? Can y'all talk on that topic. Looking at applying but I've got a misses and 3 kids. Being with my family is just as important as work for me.

I was there for a few years. Honestly, it's really dependent on your department/team, and most managers are very understanding. However, I will agree with a few of the reviews that late nights and long hours are definitely not unheard of. I'd liken it to how many people on Blind describe Apple's work/life balance. They also strongly emphasize a "family" type culture. If you have other questions, feel free to DM me. I also have some friends still there that may be able to help out for a referral or offer more insight into the team you're thinking about applying to.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! I did some security disclosures with Tod Beardsley, I reached out to him to ask about the culture, he said he'd get my info off to the right people. I'll definitely hit you up for the referral if things don't move too far down this route.

It depends on your department and team. The office has great amenities, but that’s been one of the only upsides for me. Not pertinent to your specific role, but in marketing, there is a strange culture that has been sifting people out of the organization. Just in the last year, so many employees have left due to one upper management individual’s demeaning and inappropriate behavior. I hope that other departments don’t have this issue. Definitely dig into not just who your manager is, but your director and VP as they dictate growth. Tod Beardsley is awesome though!
