Finished all interviews at Oracle and was hinted at a forthcoming written offer, but it’s been over 2 weeks with no word. The recruiter hasn’t been able to provide any timeline. Is anyone else experiencing a pause or delay in offers, or is there some internal issues I should be aware of? I am worried this may mean they might close the role or maybe there's a layoff coming so they are pausing offers. Any insights on Oracle’s current hiring timeline would be greatly appreciated. #oracle #tech #layoffs TC: 350k
They did this to me! They gave me a verbal offer and kept saying “the written offer is coming” and then I got a call 3 weeks later that the position was actually pulled due to a budget constraint. If you dont have a written offer, you have nothing IMO. Theyre shady af over there.
yeah happened to me. the onboarding lady ghosted me like the 2nd week, then i got my offer letter some random night almost a month later.
Normal they take 3+ weeks ( up to a month ) to comeback with an offer
Is that wait after a verbal confirmation? A friend is waiting but no feedback after loop, verbal or written
They took 1.5 weeks for me OCi sales org. I did express my concerns about slow offer letters from other contacts. I also said that I had competing offers so I think all of that sped up the process.
What's ur offer and what level and city?
Based on multiple convos, it seems like recruiters just got informed that only a limited of offers will be approved until the new fiscal year starts in June. Most of us cannot wait 2 months+ for a written offer so ✌🏻✌️
Yep, that seems like Oracle. Thanks for the update.
Op, I’m waiting for the offer since oct. Lost all hopes and moved on. Unfortunately, i’m not getting calls from any other company too. OCI-IC3
Same here, waiting since sept 23 and recently have asked Hiring Manager about the role. They said, it’s open but hiring freeze. Not sure when it is going to come. Looking for other opportunities. Hiring in US. IC3 role.
Normal Oracle. Lots of paper pushing. They are notoriously slow. At least it's not end of quarter , as there is almost always a hiring pause somewhere. While you should never assume a verbal offer is a written offer, that is especially true at Oracle.
Good to know this is normal. Curious what is causing that tho! That's a very easy way to lose good candidates to competition no?
Oracle already can't compete against on a grand scale, so why make small improvements?
