How’s Adyen?
Have a recruiter call soon. Very interested, hybrid work environment. I am a Senior at HubSpot, I noticed that the levels don’t translate. Should I be going for a Software Engineer instead of Senior level? How is the culture? TC: 210k @Adyen

IIRC they are in same space as Marqueta in America, business has good fundamentals since they are one of these one time credit card or payment processors that form of the base of services like DoorDash.

At HubSpot for 2 years and grew into role - so I probably got less than someone coming in as a Senior

The wlb is incredible. Yes, pay may not be top notch but factor hours worked and stress levels and you can make a case for it. Levels are all over the place internally and are basically meaningless.
I hear the interview process is extraneous, is it worth it?
Yes. You may have heard wrong or the person you have heard this from has unreasonable expectations of the interview process for a tech company. There are a few convos and a code assessment but nothing unusual.
Senior SWE at HubSpot should translate to senior SWE at Adyen. Are you interviewing for a U.S. location?
Yes Chicago, talked to recruiter today, my YOE (5) don’t translate she says but I can interview into Senior. Looking forward to it
Adyen is office first. Office attendance minimal 3 days a week but preferably more. Maybe good to take that into consideration.
FWIW there are people who are in the office 2 times per week, but they have been in the company for a while. Generally it is good to be at the office as much as you can for visibility, but would depend on the manager
