https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/google-parent-alphabet-weighs-offer-hubspot-sources-say-2024-04-04/ This would be Alphabet's largest acquisition yet -- What do you think the implications of this type of acquisition would be? Likely to go through? Or not going to happen?
Let see how long the put it in the grave 🪦
You underestimate the prowess of Subpar. He’s pretty good at running companies to the ground. HubSpot is gonna be cakewalk for the amount of effort it took him to take down a trillion dollar company like G.
He is like a herpes. Not going away no matter what.
Generally if a news is out during the speculation, it’s a sabotage and not happening. Real acquisitions become news after the fact. This is leaked to sabotage any possibility.
Are for you the acquisitions team?
Well… Salesforce is pretty garbage and the CRM space is way overdue for a major disruption. But of all the mega-acquisitions on the table, I can’t imagine why this would be the one Google decides to close on.
lol what makes you think google is going to disrupt anything.
I mean I actually think if Google sets its sights low enough, rather than always moon-shooting, it could accomplish a breakthrough as basic as distrupting the CRM space.
I hope it wont, I like it the way things are right now.
Yeah we have a chance to make 10x in next 10 years, if acquired by google that possibility is all but gone.
Mind if i ping you all? Thinking about hub for my next role!
lol why
Buy figma instead
Correct
Ligma?
I can’t believe these fucks are allegedly sitting on 100 billion in cash and yet our hardware refreshes have been suspended for a year now
Ruth wouldn’t be able to swim in the safe like Scrooge McDuck if it was any lower.
They're not suspended, just got my new M3 macbook. Just ask if you're within the refresh period (from when it wasn't a guessing game)
More genius ideas
Should have bought Slack honestly. Massive miss for integrations with G-Workspace and also Gchat and Meet is so bad for actual Professional collaboration
Chat I can see, but gvc is pretty good What issues do you see?
I accidentally selected my some option in my 1:1 to stream it. Now I can't find the option to turn it off. Any idea ?
What would Google do with a CRM tool?
All that juicy business data to feed into AI models and sell cloud products to
probably M the CRs
