Is this remote or are you working out of Ohio in office?
Remote
What’s your YOE out of curiously? Sounds like you are being underpaid and are about to take another position in which you will be underpaid.
Jesus, ouch
That’s pig shit tc offer for a senior engineer.
He’d have to work two remote senior positions to get decent pay imo
for Ohio it's not great but that is probably about average
As a rule of thumb, I never consider leaving my current gig unless the base increases at least 10%. With the risk and complexity involved in moving it’s rarely worth it otherwise, assuming the current job is just “ok”.
10% is kind of low. 30% at least.
In THIS economy?! 🤣
Take it and leave em when u get another job that pays yet another measly ass raise. Fuck em. They shouldn’t have low balled you. Make ‘em pay for it. Stay just long enough to keep the bonus and bounce.
Fuck them and their low tc. Take the offer but keep interviewing.
keep leetcoding
Even for Ohio, that's about $10-20k too low.
Mate, the consulting company I’m going to is paying me the same base with only a $5K bonus; that’s as a Technical Consultant L4 (similar to Google); for an L5 position, you should at least be commanding $160K base even in this awful market; ideally $180-190K. I have slightly less TC than you working as a contractor, so you’re definitely underpaid. Take the offer and keep interviewing and Leetcoding hard. Try aiming for FAANG if you can, or any of the top tier companies on the company tier lists floating around Blind. Good luck! Current TC: 90K base Expected TC: $100K base + $5K bonus
Your poll looks fancy
Thanks for the sarcasm.
I mean it. This is the first time that I see a poll with pictures, icons with it.
