Racism towards Indians
I’m planning to buy 150k Alaska airlines points. The economics only makes sense if you planning to use it for business class or first class ticket on emirates. I want to check with folks here. Has anyone booked emirates business class ticket with Alaska points? How easy is to book? Does the quota gets fill pretty quick for North America-India sector?
I’ve been looking to book a first class ticket to India on Emirates and was not able to find any availability on Alaska when I give pay with miles. But I thought with the bonus offerings across various points/miles, it seems cheap
Today is sale for Alaska silver mile members so it makes sense in that case. Otherwise stand alone it doesn’t make sense even for economy class with sale it doesn’t make sense.
All depends on the time. Holiday season gets booked 330 days in advance...
West coast emirates flight awards are harder to find as compared to the east coast.
I found one for April
Can non elites even buy 150k a year? I thought there was some limit to discourage mileage brokers etc
Used to be fairly easy to book. I booked biz in emirates. Though openings were limited, u have to be flexible with dates. Though as far as I remember, it never made sense to buy the points. I think u can book or look for openings for partner airlines on Alaska website.
