Sysdig vs TripActions
Hi, I am expecting offer from sysdig and have offer from TripActions liquid. Need help in evaluating how stable they are both in terms of immigration(green card processing) as well as job security. Also if they go IPO which one would be a better bet. I like the work at both the reqs. Please help with your inputs. #engineering#software #swe #startup
Just looked up SysDig. I'll leave few questions here for you to think about. I see TripActions is the best of majority of the Bay Area companies still hiring right now but I could be biased because I work there. For SysDig: - How many "security" companies come and go? - Do you think SysDig will be hot in next 4 yrs? (when you will vest your options/stocks) - Have you see what happens to hot security companies when there is a competition? Market for security products is like APM. Everything gets commoditized and then killed by native cloud vendor.
I got my GC thru TripActions. In my case, they hired good immigration counsel so that internal teams do not botch GC processing. I think it is a default now.
