I interviewed for Veeva last month for Sr.SDE and cleared their rounds. I was told that the team would like to have me onboard and they gave me a verbal offer which was decent. I asked them for a bit higher base to which they said they will ask their Senior leadership and told them I was even alright if they cannot increase. For 3 weeks they kept leading me on about my offer and how it is getting approved and everyone expect CEO has approved. Today the manager called and said the CEO didn’t approve my comp and doesn’t think it’s a good fit. I was recently laid off from Amazon and was led on for a long time by Veeva and am on H1-B. This kind of micromanagement is pathetic #veeva TC:0
Never put all your eggs in one basket.
wait, what? CEO approval?!? Rejecting you after offer because you negotiated?!?!! Who in the name of fuck do these people think they are?!
What was verva systems interview like ?
For their onsite, they care almost exclusively about behavioral performance and cultural fit. They want people who will stay for a long time, not someone who's eager to job hop.
I went through their interview process and can confirm what @bruh420 is saying. They will backout if they know they will have to compete with anyone else for an offer. I feel I made a mistake revealing to them that I have other offer at hand.
Damn I just applied there. This definitely gives me pause.
Did you get the interview @bitlab
The guy who is worth 3.4 billion rejected your offer because you negotiated? Some people need a reality check.
curious what kind of increase you asked for
CEO of a public company needs to approve comp of an SDE?
My only experience with Veeva was when I had just a single discussion with a hiring manager about the position & he thought I was a great fit. The trail went cold after that. I didn’t care to reach out since I had offers in hand.
Same happened to me , from 2 different companies. I think people lack basic human decency
yes, but always have these going in parallel up until the actual start date thanks for the veeva warning
