hi facebook blinders, can anyone verify if facebook oculus is treated like other facebook self owned units or has its own management ladder? is oculus same culture like fb? cut throat, high stress, high chance of pip? i got an offer from oculus, but not sure if the working pressure is as high as fb.

Only thing unique about Oculus at this point was that their building didn't follow the same design scheme as the rest of the Facebook buildings. Theirs were painted black inside. The rest are white with accent walls. Also they got cooler desks. I think they were bamboo? Anyway if you make your job decisions of off bamboo desks and black walls, I say go for it!

Yes it’s all the same. FB is basically one big company. What’s app is the only sub brand that I’ve heard is a little better but things like performance evals are the same across all the sub brands.

Been several years at Amazon and now few years at FB. Stress at FB is another level. Performance reviews at FB every six months are the root cause.
