anyone with experience with the Austin Facebook Finance team ? I’ve gotten invites to interview several times the last month - declined the initial as I did not want to move out of California for a lateral position — the recruiter is now pitching that they rearranged the position to lead a finance transformation team, reporting to more senior managemnt , and I am top 7 identified candidates ... seemed to balk at salary request of $175k ... not sure if I should take tine out for in person interviews if invited
The Austin team is meant to do pretty low level operational work.
Thanks , I have my doubts this is a worthwhile opportunity
I would not take it if I were you. Plus your boss will be terrible, trust me.
This sounds like the assistant controller role... didn’t think they’d low ball even at 175k. Jeez.
Hey! Curious to know if you ended up interviewing in Austin? Also, what do u mean by independent contractor? Are you a working as a consulting company on your own?
are you at a top tier strategy firm like McKinsey or Bain now? If not, don't bother
No, independent consultant now , M&A , biotech - told recruiter this seems out of my lane ... former Deloitte S&O , with systems implementations
