I searched for something on google. Then went to facebook and there was an ad for it on my newsfeed. I know its not a coincidence so it seems either google sells user data to facebook or facebook gets this data through cookies or somewhere else but all i did was a google search so i dont see how it would know without help from google. Also, my facebook login email is not my gmail account (its a yahoo account i setup over a decade ago) and i went to facebook on my phone and google searched on my work laptop so completely different sessions. So i can only assume google is selling the data to facebook.

Old news. Facebook knows all the cities I have lived in and tailors shirts for me in the ads. That is scarier.
