from contractor@consulting to full time at FAANG
Im interested to know how hard is it to get job at FANG if you have previously worked as a contractor at consulting company like Deloitte/wipro? Are they treat differently on the interview process or on TC? Love to hear from the person who jump to big company from consulting one. #consulting #faang
Easy to get interview from Deloitte. Infosys not so much.

I was told by a recruiter that they look at the experience while deciding the levels. For eg, your 10 yr experience at a consulting company like infosys will be treated as same with someone 4-5 yrs experience at companies like Microsoft.
Doesn't matter really. After you get an interview, interview performance matters the most. Probably won't give out higher than E5 for someone from a contracting background.
Here is my experience. Started at Infosys. Getting the interview will be challenging. You need to have a good resume. Once you get the interview, I think it does not matter. I got an offer from Amazon. Need to prepare hard though. Took me almost an year to prepare, and even then could only get Amazon. Did not crack Google phone.
