Just got an email to interview for the Quantitative Trading internship at Jane Street! It’s a dream job but I never really thought I had a shot at it so I haven’t done any prep work. Is it worth trying to spend my time studying hard and preparing for the interview or will I be weeded out immediately regardless? I have a physics background from top school but am not some mathematics savant by any means. (Surely not on the level as those kids groomed since kindergarten to become quants). Do I pray I’ll be a personality hire? What percentage of applicants/ interviewees get hired? Any advice or words of encouragement is greatly appreciated! #interview #finance #janestreetinterview #janestreet
Ofc it’s worth studying worst case you are better prepared for a qt at another firm
U don’t need any crazy prep I prepped for 1 month while also doing a FT SWE internship and got an offer. I’m Also not a maths major
Don't bother. The interview is just a formality. I can see from our files here that you've already been rejected.
appreciate it big brother. can’t wait to see you there
