I need suggestion on Disney Streaming offer for Engineering Manager. Total experience of 12 yrs Manager Experience: 4 yrs I am thinking of 230k base, 20% bonus 70k RSU per year
That's details won't happen because that's not how they do compensation
I don’t know that what recruiter asked me. She said comp team don’t want to go back and forth. I does mention to her that I am being interviewed by other company
Actually, they asked me to give numbers first, they are not willing to share the offer now
Sure but that's not how they do compensation. They'll be fair but ask for a detailed break down.
All of the media orgs have similar packages and none are as cut and dry as what you were giving them with RSUs. Many established ones don't give RSUs at all unless you're a Sr Director, VP and above.
Recruiter gave me break down Base, Bonus of 20% and RSU
Pretty sure it's an LTI
No we do stocks now
Disney+ told me ~300k TC for tech lead so you are probably safe to ask that.
Ask for more stocks. I’m an ic and I got 150k yearly grant
How? What level?
This doesn’t seem typical. What is your TC?
At p4/m2 you’re not getting 230k base. Temper your expectations to be around 200 possibly a little less. If you manage to get m3/senior eng manager, then that’s more of a possibility, but I don’t really see people get hired in at m3, it’s more of a growth role.
I think they changed their comp structure. I am starting Monday- M3 in Program Management and for me base $190k, 20% bonus, 35% RSU grant each year, but they also provided a $20k sign on and $160k new hire grant so my TC year 1 would be 275k, and every year after I will be over 300k. I imagine an an engineering manager you would make more than I would.
As a m3 your rsu refresh should be 90%……. Also that bonus looks off as well.
I think that’s only if you are in engineering. I spoke with friends who are all M3 roles non engineering and it’s the exact same. The m3 non engineering band is standardized.
Your base will likely come in lower but RSU will be a good deal higher. Probably 60% of base per year vesting over 3 years. Go for sign on as well.
Why don’t you wait to see the offer.
