We are going through difficult times. But long time holders know that eventually the stock will recover and continue its growth to the podium. So what are your predictions, how fast Tesla can become # 1
TSLA will die a slow death. They did achieve their mission of accelerating the world to sustainable energy, however. - As of Jan 2021, Tesla’s products have never been profitable. - In 2020, Tesla’s profit was $700M, but they sold $1.6B of “virtual” regulatory credits to other car manufacturers. Yikes. Source: 2020 Tesla 10-K SEC annual report - Tesla’s commercial semi truck can’t attain the battery energy density to meet the US DOT’s vehicle weight requirements. - Tesla solar roof/powerwall remain niche, rich-man toys. - Tesla FSD/robotaxis are not happening anytime soon. Props to Tesla, but they should focus 100% on battery science and lease out the tech to car manufacturers and electrical grid operators.
Robotaxis will happen soon, but it won't be tesla unless they make a bold acquisition, for example aurora. Moving into transportation as a service is their only chance of justifying the market cap.
This will age poorly just like every other Tesla bear has
They'll be the biggest market cap of Level 2 self driving companies 🤣
It will happen. Once FSD is released and their robotaxi, the game’s over. It’ll be so cheap to travel in a Tesla, no other vehicle will make economic sense
Tesla is way over valued. Look at the market cap and the comparison with other car manufacturers like honda or toyota. I understand they are not playing the same cards, for tesla to be really at what it’s valued right now, it has to sell 15x more cars than Honda assuming they bring in same profit per car, which they are not. Electric cars are common enough and with big cities creating laws to ban new gas cars to be sold in 2030-2035, trust me that every single company will have most of their cars electrical in a few years! Bubble’s exploding, I’m sure
I think that the moment the market realizes that when Musk says that they are "making batteries" he literally means batteries, multiple cells connected together, and not the cells themselves - it goes to zero. It's riding ignorance of people who believe they have any exclusive technology (mostly batteries and the FSD) while in fact it's just a poorly made car from the commodity components with L2 self driving every other car has.
How about never? Cars and self driving alone are more enough to displace amazon or Google which touch every industry and consumer.
