Tired of coding, switch to recruiting?

I have been working as SWE at Big tech for ~10 years and now got tired of coding, SDLC and dealing with anxiety and stress of work to deliver. I can't imagine myself coding for the rest of my life. What are my options here? I like networking and talking to like-minded peeps. Should I switch to recruiting/talent acquisition roles? TC 180k #tech #career

The recruiter market is completely saturated, and they’re always the first on the chopping block. It’s a risky game.

Thanks. Any leads for the transition?

Downside to recruiting is you’re the first to go in any sort of downturn. That said I know people who have made a good living off of recruiting and generally love it since they love talking to people in general. If it’s a good fit it might be worth the risk

This is one of the worst times in history to be recruiter

I can’t imagine getting into recruiter. The constant job insecurity and companies tried our recruiting staff so poorly by just laying them off in masses. Why don’t you switch to a lower stress company that not big tech. You might have to take a pay cut though

Be a pre sales engineer. It pays closer to SWE if you meet targets.

I get that this is not the right time to be a recruiter considering market instability. What are the other options I have?
