Google vs Microsoft - need suggestion.
Hi, I accepted an offer from #Microsoft last week - TC $193k L62 Now, in my google interview process, i did 5 onsite rounds last week and now they want to do 2 more interviews(to give my desired level L4), followed by team matching, etc. So from here, if things go well, it’ll take about 2 weeks to get #Google offer. Currently msft has started background check and in a week or so they’ll start h1b transfer i believe. So my question is, shall i continue to chase Google or shall i just settle for Msft and end google process. Two options: 1. Continue google process and if i get goog offer, then burn bridges with msft for ever —- my doubt here is, will it have any impact career wise, given i am on h1b ? 2. Stop google and join msft, retry google after 12 months (their cool off period) Help me decide plz. Yoe 6 yrs

Option 3 - slow walk msft and wait for GOOG. Bounce them off each other to increase TC. Statistically speaking, goog offers are quite rare and you will likely not get one. Also, if you tell the GOOG recruiter you have a competing offer they may be able to speed things up.
I dnt think msft will budge nw, as the offer is signed frm my end. Yes i am trying to delay things, with a hope that i get result from google before joining date of msft. Google recruiter says she is doing whatever she can to speed up, but still it’ll take about 2 weeks frm here. She is okay to stop the process right here as well. Also, i gave up on google when they offered me L3, but once they setup additional rounds, i thought maybe they’ll actually offer L4
This is best i guess as you've signed the offer, did you not know about goog before signing? Ask goog to expedite, team matching in some cases may take months.
Don't worry too much, by the time you complete the 2 additional rounds, and then getting the hire/no hire decision, and then hc approval, and then getting team matched , it would take at least 6-8 months by that time you will be half way thru at msft. And if things fall in place you can accept g's offer, if you are on H1B then add another 2 months to transfer and you are set now. Almost completed 1 yr at msft and then switch. Gud luck!!
