get better location for offer
i just got my return offer from intern to full time for capital one but unfortunately i am unable to request placement at the sf or nyc office (my preferred choices). anyone have any tips/ideas on how i might be able to finagle my way into either of those offices? thank
Capital One will not negotiate location. The vast majority are in McLean and another large group are in Richmond.
You can try reapplying at those locations? My understanding is most companies don't have flexibility on location as they are hiring for a specific role at a specific location.
At the one year mark you will change roles as part of TDP ... at that point you can look for opportunities in NYC or SF. McLean, richmond, Chicago and Plano are the large people centers.
you can't really though as most spots in those places are saved for return tdps as they don't want to make people relocate
Don't worry, DC is a pretty cool place to live but that train ride out to McLean is long
get competing offers with high pay, and ask them to match both else take the competing offer. Aug-Dec is best time for finding full Time for graduates
