Hi I am recent graduate and I have been working in a product based company for the past 1 year and, the thing about my role is I was hired as an Associate Software Engineer but from our project the one who is working as a senior software role left the company, and I am taking care of his entire work and I there is a lot of work pressure but I expected a hike and done all of the tasks and tech leads in other team also pushed their work on to me, and even I did that but when the time of the hike or promotion came my manager hasn't spoken till march to me even I pinged him but no response on march he called me and said how are you I already sent a hike letter and when I asked for more he said arrange a call and lets discuss what all you have done (note our company has PAR sheet to be filled on nov end on our work review for hike) but he still asked. So I came to know like they don't care about me. You may think like this is normal let me say my compensation is 6LPA (after hike) and I am incharge of all the backend technical stuff and I take care of Jira and go after clients when there is an issue in the system. So I want anyone in the blind community to help me refer to data analysis role. I was a mentor of several Ml courses of deeplearning and also won an International Quantum Fest. YOE: 1 year Current CTC: 6 LPA #walmart #google #apple #servicenow #jpmc #data #dataanalytics #datascience #amazon #morganstanley #facebook
Grass seems to be greener on the other side but it is not. Don't change the domain from swe to data analyst. Data scientist here, working in banking firm. You need a good company offering good work. So stick to sde and switch and before joining do consult with the people worked/working in the offer one company.

Your issue is not the career path, it is the company you’re working at. It’s a shitty company with bad processes. Stick to software engineering, and switch to a different company instead.
