Was talking to a Citadel recruiter and he specifically mentioned the job he was recruiting for is in the hedge fund part and not Citadel Securities - is there a difference of culture between the two? Work?
Why don’t you ask the recruiter ?
Citadel securities makes all the money
What they said^
Then whats the point of the hedgefund? Just to take the 2/20? Isnt there an incentive to make money since they take 20% of the profits?
TIL
Citadel hf is lower pay and worse lifestyles
how many hours on average does securities work vs hf?
Citadel is a hedge fund similar to Bridgewater or Millennium. Citadel Securities is a market maker similar to Susquehanna or Virtu. Both make $$$ but the investment/trading horizon can be vastly different.
I believe citadel is also a market maker. Perhaps that is the securities department
