Programmers are the smartest people in the world
I worked at DeWinter. We don’t take any part of the candidate’s salary - agency recruiters are paid by the client company a certain percentage fee.
Just curious to know - how much is it fee? Does the rate depend of how senior the executive they are hiring is?
The fee is anywhere from 20-30%. The seniority doesn’t always matter, but the harder the role is to fill, the more we try to negotiate. It depends on how much the client is willing to spend, whether they have multiple roles for us, exclusivity, etc. Clients typically have a set budget for the role and another budget for agency fees. The fee doesn’t have much affect on what your salary would be.
Typically the way it works is that every company has a set recruiting budget for the year/quarter. they will use a portion of that budget for agency recruiting fees, but it’s a common misconception that a recruiters fee comes out of a candidates salary, or that they will somehow make less due to a recruiter fee. Most 3rd party recruiters are intrinsically motivated to get you the best offer, as that means they will also make more money. No... If they do then run away
Nar, they (we) take 20-30% of your first year comp. as a fee, but it comes from either an HR/Recruiting budget or from a hiring managers annual budget. The fee won’t have an impact on what you’re getting.
What if its a 4 months contract role? How will the fees be calculated?
Usually commission from the company who retained them to fill a particular role. That commission range usually starts from 15% of base pay
