anyone use google fi? anything you like/don’t like? I’m planning on using it with an iphone - does that change anything?
Had to watch my data usage for 2 years. Was a PITA. I've been happy with T-Mobile unlimited since I left Fi 2 years ago.
Cheap and good enough for me. I don't use much data so the 600 to 700 a year I save vs t-mobile is with it (that's a new phone!) international no roaming for text and data is the best feature.
call quality sucks, frequently no signal in various parts of SF and the peninsula, incoming calls frequently do not ring and then never appear in call log
If you don't need international roaming your cheapest and best option is mintmobile. You are welcome.
This actually looks amazing. Is there any catch?
It has worked flawlessly for me for about 6 months.
Google Fi Support is shit, other than that it's been decent. You can unlimited data with Fi too.
Fi has been working OK for me with an iPhone.

Data is pretty slow on BART trains. I think they get a lower tier of service compared to direct T-Mobile customers even though it's the same network. Occasionally wi-fi calling doesn't work well and you'll need to manually disconnect to force it to make a cell call.
(I used to be on T-Mobile but still prefer Fi)
Traveling with Fi and being able to use 4G data everywhere is pretty magical.
