My packet passed HC. How do I find out the level. Should I ask the recruiter or wait for offer.
I asked the recruiter. She said L4. I negotiated, ended up L5.
Did you have additional offers?
Please don't forget to mention the part where you did additional interviews and were re-reviewed by HC/SVP. As a recruiter I constantly deal with candidates who say they've heard level is negotiable just like comp, which of course it isn't.
You should have specified a level before you interviewed
How much time did they take to come back with a decision op?
Did they ask for fb offer as proof that you actually have a valid offer?
I assume you're asking me. No they just asked for the break down and they matched it.
It's 2021, I'm in the same process now. I can reassure you it's totally possible to appeal for L4 --> L5. I got downlevel to L4 and the TC in Google just couldn't match my current senior position pay. In fact joining Google means lesser pay! Hence in order to bump my TC, they'll have to consider making an appeal to get me into L5. I'm still in the process. Process steps 1) Hiring manager and recruiter making an appeal case. 2) Some people decide if this is even a possible route to consider. 3) See if I need additional rounds of interviews or maybe just a chat with the director then all is well. I believe I've done very well in my interviews, I was told I was a strong hire at L4. I've gotten 2 hiring managers asking me to join their team so recruiter told me the ball is in my court to pick.
