I have my account on Orbinhood but lately I started exploring other trading platforms. i read bunch of articles comparing different options available in the market but still couldnt figure out the clear winner. I am semi active long time investor looking for reliable trading platform. what trading platform you guys are using and why you chose it over other platforms. One more thing I was unable to conclude is about tax. does any platform offers tax benefit or something? #robinhood #investment #trading
Thank. I have windows but I am more inclined to mobile option due to easy access. I just started learning about stocks and didn’t find good options on Robinhood. Then I started exploring options.
I have Schwab as well and love it. I started banking with them as well as investing. Robinhood is a good playground but Schwab provides a lot of good research material and rating for free and their customer service is amazing. I use robinhood to invest ~5K and keep track of my watch list but use Schwab for my main fund of hundreds of k.
I agree that Robinhood doesn’t have much to kind of research about stonks. Do you have any idea how they both differs in terms of tax? Let me update the original post as well.
TD has better app, are you day trading or long term? If long term there is no difference
I am log term investor. I am spending more time on stocks for now as I am learning but gradually i will be spending less and less time on it.
If you are buying stocks on phone and in your post neither vanguard nor fidelity is in your choice, you aren’t a long term investor. You are a speculator at best.
Also keep in mind that Schwab and TD are probably merging this year
Schwab for main trading and RH for YOLO.
Interactive Broker
IB has 10$ per month cost. They do deduct trading fees paid in that month.
Moved to webull. DM if you want 5 free stocks when you deposit at least $100 because I have 4 referral remaining in this category valid until 30 Apr. Webull will also reimburse stocks transfer fee.
I have Schwab but I think TD’s software (ThinkOrSwim) is better. It’s supported on Windows/Mac/Linux. Worth considering if you don’t have windows.
