I am sure, some of you today woke up disappointed again, after the news that your h1b wasn't selected in this lottery. Not every one of us comes with the leverage of dusting this news off our shoulders and continue to feel nothing is going to change. For some, this was their last chance, some have commitments, some have to leave family and this country without any idea of their future. There is a reason some of you are going to pack your stuff and leave this country with a view of never returning before. You came here for your masters, worked hard and secured a job, kept working hard, hoping you are going to learn and contribute to your organization. There is a reason some of you missed their slots, it is because of such a scam organization. If you still have another chance, this is your last chance to find and report these scammers who are ashamed and daring enough to ask this in open. #h1b
I am in the same boat, is there is a way to report this to USCIS?
Use this tip form from USCIS: https://www.uscis.gov/report-fraud/uscis-tip-form
Man, sorry for your situation not getting through the lottery and all... But your hate is misdirected. Do you realize the "85,000 cap" is purely artificial?
USCIS is on Blind btw. It might not be helpful, but maybe tag them so someone will take a look. Hopefully.
Wow! I’ve never seen any post from them
IT industry is the biggest scums in the Tech industry. No body likes them and everybody hates them. They are like a Mafia exploiting unskilled or barely skilled Indian students on OPT. Dont worry though, USCIS is gonna reject all of them in bulk after taking $5k application fee from them. Or approve them only for 3-6months based on their project ending
Totally agree! this is a flawed system.
Yup fk those Indian consulting firms exploiting this. Good thing I came from a treaty country and don’t really need a h1b but they definitely screwing the legit people over.
They r! I am reporting this to the USCIS. The reason y I am sharing this info, I want others to do the same. Tomorrow, anyone of us can lose a job cus these guys can find sheep and portray as a Lion.
It’s not just those Indian consulting firms though. I used to work for a fintech company that did exactly the same thing. Their Chief Architect had told me there just were that many smart people in LA... I wish I reported them way back when, today they probably have several dozen more US Citizens on their payroll, but back then it was definitely more H1B contractors. And they abused the heck out of them (all of us really, but them particularly). 80 hour weeks were not uncommon.
Folks, the demand will dry up next year .. because of recession.. just hang in there and don’t lose your job ..
Just curious, you will call USCIS and tell what? What rules are they breaking? Very sorry for you, but this should be solved at policy level, not like this.
Not all Masters degree graduates from USA should be considered skilled, I know many of them were graduated from third level Indian universities for bachlers and just because they are rich, they study in UsA in some bullshit university and get the job as Business Analyst or something third level QA job. Average Native americans can do this job very easily. PS -> I had to turn down my 350K offer from Amazon sde3 this year because I didnt go through lottery and I am on L1b visa with Microsoft. My frnd from India studied here and got her h1b in STEM working on 80K salary as business analyst ! Wtf, she is just playing with excel sheet whole day !- This needs to be fixed
Have some questions. Please check your DM.
Your definition of skilled is wrong. It is skill that US is lacking or need more of. For example nurses come in, construction workers come in. Take it positively that you are on L1 and with great company. Imagine the folks from small companies that cannot do L1
Why black the name if you want them to get reported ?
The name of the organization isn't black, just the person. I wanted to ensure the privacy of that person.
Well it’s hard to find if post is real without the post link !!
