Best way to buy or lease a car?

I have a bmwx3 on a lease and my lease is terminating in July. What are some of my options to either get a good deal on a new x5 lease or buy a Japanese car like Lexus NX? I will only lease German cars and buy Japanese ones. Any tips on what can I do, for example can I sell my bmw to Lexus dealer and buy a Lexus NX 450?

Yes. NX and X5 are not in the same size nor price class.

Pay cash for a used Japanese car.

Isn’t the interest rate higher for financing a pre owned car? I would like to buy a demo car or a pre owned Lexus ideally.

You missed my point, PAY CASH.

Why only lease german cars? Buy them used and get an extended warranty on them, you get the best of both worlds, extremely depreciated quality cars and peace of mind when it comes to the car breaking down on you. Only thing is don’t cheap out on maintenance, the real issues happen when you do, they are finicky about all things lubricated, tighter tolerances…

Timing belt jobs on those suckers run up thousands of dollars. And it's considered wear and tear. Why do you think Germans are so cheap the minute they are close to100k miles?

I have got plenty of them past 100k miles and never had a timing belt issue, most of my issues were solved by the warranty which paid sometimes 3x what I spent initially. As long as you care for them they run for quite a while of course there are going to be some odd balls in the mix but you will see those issues at lower miles
