What a shame!
Maybe they didn't expect so many people took voluntary leave, so they are understaffed now?
I wasn't even made aware of how many voluntarily left. They aren't hiring for teams that were laid off though. They're looking for other positions.
Can confirm. My team had one layoff and our incoming headcount was reduced to 0. We're still helping other teams with interviews though.
Hiring like crazy, DM for referral.
Same, wtf ?
Is it worth joining?
Not a good look after that big round of layoffs and the CEO's sob story LinkedIn post that went viral...now it looks like it was a joke and not sincere at all
The severance they offered was top tier.
They 100% made it sound like they were laying off to save their company and here they are hiring again less than a month later.
What are they hiring for?
Don't bother unless you have no other option. Just another shitty startup
Closed Series F with new fresh funding.
If Carta just closed a fresh funding round, then why the layoffs? This only serves as more evidence that it's shitty and no one should join.
What a “shitty” company that gave laid off people 3 months of severance pay. Carta is hiring for different roles/team that are expected to grow. We have many products and they are not equally impacted by the pandemic. Some roles are expected to disappear, and we couldn’t keep that people but we gave them a generous exit package. Something that I’m sure Bloomberg won’t even give you.
Yes, they are!
