Got an offer from Lockheed, for Information Systems analyst in Orlando, FL. Has anyone successfully negotiated for a higher offer with them? My recruiter won’t accept calls over the phone and wants me to email only which seems stand off ish what counter arguments can I use to support for a higher salary? TC: 71k YOE: 1
Definitely try. You can say you have a competing offer that you're contemplating. I've seen that work for colleagues
In past, recruiters have to check back in with the hiring manager which is why no real time conversation . There will typically be limits on negotiation range too based on what others with similar experience and job title and location are being paid.
I negotiate a higher offer. You have to email a letter stating why you want a higher salary. I used inflation for my reasoning.
