Heartwarming peaceful protests
This was years ago. My friend was being constantly harassed by her boss. I was new to the company that time. I told the HR, confronted the manager, spoke with other directs and his skip. Got the boss fired.
Got your friend fired?
He mentioned got him fired and not her fired 🤣. So this explains manager was fired.
When I was about 19 (and before I went into big tech) I got physically cornered by a guy in his 50s at work. He asked me if I was married, then proceeded to ask why the hell not because he's been discussing me with several of his collegues and then proceeded to tell me how he fantasized about me. I was young so I didn't complain to anyone, but I was terrified.
You didn’t go to college?
This is horrible!! I am so sorry you had to go through this early in your career.
Not me but my female colleague was harrassed and stalked by someone from HR team. She quit the job in disgust.
Then he came over to SAP where he continued his crimespree.
This poll tell you what percentage of blind users are unattractive males vs females + attractive males.
Uh, so you assume every attractive male + all females get sexually harassed?
No. But it's high probability that the ones who did get harassed will vote Yes
What are you trying to say? Both cases fall under harassment. And there are some stories in the comments already.
@oracle: you fucking moron. A violation is a violation.
Couldn't agree more!
I've had lots of interest of sexual nature (from married women) but it never made me uncomfortable I guess because as a man I don't feel like I'm ever in physical danger.
Prad Bitt?
Same here. Lots of women at work hitting on me or making advances. Not sure that’s sexual harassment.
M here, at previous company an F was putting her hand on my leg at meetings (sitting next to me). It was surprisingly unpleasant because it distracted me from trying to lead the meeting and have something productive happen. I just couldn’t not pay attention to it due to lizard brain. Definitely didn’t feel like I was in physical danger of course. I would have thought I would love this sort of thing, so the frustration of having it command my attention and distract me from leading a good meeting was surprising. Maybe this doesn’t count as harassment though, not sure. (No, I wasn’t paying attention during company trainings).
How can this not count as harassment? 😅
Not sure how this is possible unless you're sitting on a bench or she got really long arms.
A couple coworkers at a non-career job joked about pimping me out to sell more in the department but I wasn’t upset. I remember a coworker purposely pressing her boobs against me when we’d both be at the register and flirting with me. Some other comments at other jobs but never anything past that and they never bothered me it felt more complimentary.
Were you comfortable with that talk?
It was slightly uncomfortable, more just awkward because I didn’t know what to say but I think it’s different because I’m a rather tall large male - maybe I should have clarified that. I’m average looking I think it’s more just I worked with a lot of females at a couple jobs
No But maybe because I’m unattractive
