Hello all I joined ServiceNow in July, 23 as a MBA graduate. I have just received an email from my manager saying I am not performing at my level and am assigned some tasks which I need to complete within 2 weeks. No HR has been cc'ed on the mail. Is this a formal PIP process? Will I be evaluated and fired at the end of this 2 week process if I don't perform to my manager's expectations? Thank you TC: 200k #servicenow #pip
Shocked. An MBA not performing.
Depends on your company policy, in many companies the document will be reviewed by HR representative, but they don’t have to be physically present during the pip process
A two week PIP? Seems rather odd to me. Perhaps your manager wants to just fire you, but is giving you a chance to succeed.
Should I contact HR? My manager is pressuring me to leave since a month into the job.
Time to look in the mirror. Why is your manager pressuring you? Hard to believe they hired and are now just randomly trying to push you out. Sounds like your performance is in question.
Looks like focus
Why would you be expected to perform at level when you only joined is few month ago? Depending on your org and product it could be a very complex thing to navigate. Which org is this?
Did you tell your new manager you have an MBA?
Sounds like classical PIP process
Shouldn't the HR be involved in the process? Because I do not think my manager will evaluate me fairly. Should I just resign right now?
If you believe they won't evaluate you fairly, and you are about to be let go, is it worth resigning? If you resign, you get no severance. Resign or not, getting a good reference from your boss is a separate issue. Considering those, I don't think resigning is a good idea.
