I am in the east bay and thinking of doing the haul down to Mt View/Palo Alto. I check the commute every morning and its always hour +. On the return trip it looks like 1.5 hours. If you have a similiar commute what is your strategy? Any tips like carpool or self driving car? Love to hear your thoughts.

Ride FAANG client shuttle from SF. Hate the commute. Not getting points. Occasionally get a hotel down there/work from office on fridays.
Move closer. That's a third of a work day commuting.
Company bus+Waze carpool
Take Bart/CalTrain and work on lc
Moving close to your job is the most logical decision. Anything else short of a helicopter will not help.
