would like to hear some honest opinions: how is its frontend team? compared to the top frontend companies like meta/coinbase? Is redash more frontend focus? #engineering #databricks
We're not at the level of the industry leaders today, but it's a growing discipline internally and you have the ability to have an outsized impact compared to what you could do at Meta, etc. We're also actively investing in frontend developer experience and infrastructure, so you're not jumping into a garbage fire. Feel free to DM me for more details if you like.
The problem of having impact is that it can’t be achieved by one man show: you need a team, and the company need to have key requirements on this to sustain a team: databricks strength & business focus might not be this
That's very true. I would say that over the past few years we've transitioned towards being much more focused on the UX of the product and that comes from the top.

PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
Couldn’t you just know that from interacting with the product
How would one learn about front end teams there by interacting with the product?
The team != the product since they are actively hiring
