Is the percentage of SWEs and new grads who are serious about doing leetcode consistently really that low? Or do people just not understand the value of doing mock/practice interviews and having someone else watch you code under a time limit? Is it just me and not having a big enough friend group? #google #nvidia #netflix #meta #airbnb #apple #snap #uber #lyft #notion #openai #microsoft #spacex
Because it’s boring as hell
Because you don't need a group
Why do you need a group for this?
For most of us doing LC is not that hard, definitely not worth the dedicated waste of time.
Then why do sites like interviewing.io still exist.
🤷♀️
When I was in college (late 2010s), finding someone to do leetcode with was easy. All of your friends and classmates were looking for an internship or ft job. If you can find someone who's around your skill level, that's the best scenario. You both benefit from each other. Nowadays I'd rather do leetcode on my own. I've been on the side of the interviewer so I know what they expect. I don't spend hours like I used to back in college. I just do a quick review and that's good enough.
I disagree. In my case once I go a few months without doing leetcode I feel like I’m almost starting all over again. Maybe you just have it really internalized in long term memory or something. Leetcode is nothing like what you do day to day on the job and that point has been discussed and brought up online endlessly.
it sounds like you're memorizing LC instead of understanding them. Study the DS and algorithms and not focus too much on the problems themselves.
Lel, I thought NASA hired smart folks. Where did this 🤡 come from?
Yea I have tried a couple times and the other person just lost motivation. If you are looking for a partner I am interested, feel free to dm me.
