Hey all,
Recently got an offer to join Gemini as a Senior Software Engineer. I want to get a sense for how typical this offer is and if I can negotiate up. I’m in the Bay Area and YOE: 6
Base: $175k
Bonus: 10%
Sign on: $10k
PIUs: 5,000 (valued at $75k according to them)
The PIUs seem really low but they refused to move up on that.

Offer seems on the low end for nyc
Could you please elaborate as to how PIUs work? I tried looking it up online but found nothing concrete.
In case Gemini goes public, will employees be able to sell their PIUs just like how someone would sell shares? Thank you in advance!
Different story of you have 7+ years of exp or are doing some exotic tech.
150k base + 10% target bonus + 5000 PIUs.
