The startup I joined was in its infancy and can't afford to keep me after a mere 3 weeks. 3/7 employees are leaving and the CEO is in shambles and knows his venture is failing. CEO says I can put 2 months worth of work exp on my resume. The things is, I really didn't do anything at all because we were in the middle of a move and I didn't even have access to a machine in the first week. My question is whether I should even put this on my resume or if it'll just raise red flags? In addition, I really didn't even implement anything, does anyone have any idea on what I can even put down as exp? Essentially all the programming I did was change a drop down list to radio buttons. I also implemented 3 dropdowns and conditional logic that renders a different set of drop down options depending the results chosen from the previous dropdowns. lol. Not much at all.... I'd appreciate any advice
I would, it shows you were a good enough candidate that you got hired. They’ll understand when you say it failed
im really not sure what to put in my work experience
Not much is better than nothing. Would definitely include. Oversell your accomplishments the best you can
no. skip it
If you don't have a good behavioral story to tell about your short time there, just leave it off. Only add things that will help you when you get asked about it.
Is the company going under? If so, nothing to background check. You can say you built a freaking OS in two months for fuck all anyone cares...
The company isn't fully going under (yet) but they are essentially going to dissolve and allocate all their budget to sister company that has nothing to do with tech. But I assume they will be under by end of year, but I need a job before that lol
