Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
1) currently on pixel 7 2) upgrade is for an upgraded camera system 3) i care about resale value in 2-3 years 4) Pixel 7 camera is great but i have had it freeze on me / get hot when taking many photos during events (photos/vids for 30minutes) had to restart 5) I don't play games on my phone 6) Privacy features are important, but not a deal breaker 7) should have great battery life 8) apps I use: blind, google home, youtube/netflix, uber, browser, whatsapp, gmail, amazon/target and google photos. Most YouTube reviews are split
Wait for S24 Ultra
If I stick with Android I will prefer Pixel. Samsung phones are great but I dislike bloatware.
I second the S24U rec.. I have the S23U and haven't noticed any negative impacts of any bloatware. Just uninstall whatever carrier apps you don't need, stick the rest in a misc folder, and enjoy a superior phone.
Android will always have the freezing issue as long it’s JVM based or whatever they call it now. iOS is a swifter architecture. NGL the iPhone 15 action button is pretty cool, can map to a Tesla command. Mate 60Pro+ if u really want to optimize for camera
Nonsense, iPhone also has freezing
I thought iPhone had heating problem 🥁
Pixel 8 pro is the best out there
8 series is better than 7 in terms of the phone thermals. But still not at the iPhone level. iPhone regressed a bit with 15 with their thermals. You won't go wrong with both. If you are heavily invested in the apple ecosystem, iPhone it is. Otherwise, pixel is fine. In terms of resale value, don't hold a pixel beyond 2 years. From 8 onwards, the resale value should get better since the support has been increased to 6 years. You keep the cost of ownership low by turning in the pixel device in 2 years and getting it during Thanksgiving or the new year's discounted sales.
iPhone if you care about your social life and "it just works", Android if you're a nerd
Lol your social life sucks as does your choice of friends
When you're at events look around you, everybody has an iPhone for AirDrop, FaceTime, iMessage etc
pixellll
Pixels dominate MKBHDs blind camera test with around 20 million data points https://youtu.be/VRoTOE3FqT0?si=6uYR-aUGqWs74Swj
This is great, thanks for sharing. I wish they put a few more items to comparison too - maybe a normal pic (outside, very well lit), a video etc. I have tried normal shots on iPhone in the past and they weren't as bad as the first photo of MKBHD in there.
Guess it’s kinda subjective. But this is a datapoint. You won’t go wrong with a Pixel is what it indicates.
Pixel. During most of family gatherings, people (some with latest iphones) have made me the defacto photographer because of my Pixel phone.
Stay with pixel 7 and save money. No upgrade is worth in my opinion at the moment. Wait for another year for new models.
smells like broke in here
I am slightly leaning towards this - I wouldn't be asking if this was a slam dunk upgrade from pixel 7 to either of these.
Pixel 8 pro.
