iQIYI - Chinese Netflix
iQIYI, Chinese analog of Netflix, went IPO in April and grew up 2x since that. Whould you invest into them assuming they will grow as good as Netflix and China market?
Video market in China is very saturated and competitive, but this also means that there’s tons of innovation coming out of fierce competition. I’m just trying to say iqiyi is not really like Netflix.
does twitch operate in China?
There is Huya, bilibili similar to Twitch
Huya is much smaller but do know their market audience better
Did you all nerds put in market orders for IQ for Monday morning soaring stock price up by 12% at one point? Volume is already morr than twice today.
Bilbili is more promising as a niche streaming site for anime. Iqiyi has YOUKU ( owned by Alibaba) and Tencent as competitors. Video streaming in China is a highly competitive market.
Looks like Chinese video streaming market is very competitive. IQiyi is struggling to increase it’s user base and the stock is hammered in the last 1 month. However, i am still hoping in long term it will make some profit.
How can we invest in chinese stocks?..robinhood or something else?
