Origin of Albertsons joke

OK I get that Albertsons is *that* company everyone on Blind pulls up when they're about to make a joke, kinda like the term "wife's boyfriend" on Reddit's WSB. But I'm curious how this started, anyone who's been on Blind long enough have a clue and can help enlighten us noobs? TC 248K

You good, apparently they have highest TC and they're the only company in the tech industry whose stock has been positive this past year.

I remember seeing a post saying that Albertsons’ stock has outperformed many of the tech stocks the past year by a large a degree. Not sure if that was the origin but that was my first time seeing it

I’ve been on blind 6+ years (thank you whoever put Blind flyer in MS building 18 underground garage. It changed my life) About 3 years ago, there was a guy from Albertsons who shit on other larger companies (i believe it was specifically Netflix but don’t remember other companies) and how Albertsons is much better. There were several such posts showing the guy was obsessed with Netflix and ppl just assume that person failed their interview

Yep. That’s right.

Microsoft Rnd()Rnd() OP May 16, 2022

Wait, someone put up Blind flyers in MS buildings??? This sounds even more interesting than the Albertsons story.

NVIDIA appsde May 16, 2022

2-3 years back. One of the Albertsons employee talked about being paid in millions and they belittled FAANG’s compensation and benefits.

Amazon poconos May 16, 2022

I vaguely remember this but I think it started when an Albertsons employee commented something about their hiring bar/comp being higher than FAANG or something like that. It’s been so long that I could be completely wrong.
