Interviews are scheduled on Monday. Got this opportunity after 4 years of I last interviewed with them. Got 7 weeks of prep time, but I still feel under confident. Shoot in your words of wisdom, suggestions, tips. Also, since I have only Sunday to revise, should I focus on advanced topics like Treap (cut/merge), Max flow (Dinic, Ford fulkerson), Heavy Light Decomposition, Suffix trees, AVL/Redblack? Did you get that 7 weeks prep time after the initial recruiter call or is it post multiple extensions?
I literally don’t know what any of those topics are until you got to suffix trees and red-black trees. You’re overthinking it. Focus on your basic data structures and algorithms and space/time complexity, communicate clearly, ask questions and handle edge cases.
Thanks That's encouraging.
Would you say knowledge of suffix trees, segment tree, red black, skip list are enough or should be know how to implement them as well?
Google interviews are hard. Sorry for the stress.
Indeed. Thank you
Hey! I made it to onsites, after clearing the phone screen. Just wanted to check if the suffix tree's ukkonen algorithm linear time construction is expected of the candidate. As it is not only difficult to understand but difficult to implement as well.
Can visit Google past interview experience
Only suffix trees are relevant in that list. Idk who tricked you into thinking we ask max flow, treap, heavy light, or even AVL

OP I’m convinced that you’re intentionally looking up weird algorithms nobody uses. What do you use for interview prep giving you this false info?
i was asked tarjan's algorithm during the onsite
Tarjan's algorithm for finding articulation points, bridges or strongly connected components? I have done those 3. Thanks for replying.
Op how did it go and also can you share the questions?

How much obsessed people are with Google even after layoffs🥲
Yes 🥲
