Thinking about making a permanent move back to India. What would be the avg total compensation in a city like Bangalore for 7 years experience (+masters in us)? Tc: 200k

Depends. If you can get in as L5, $100k+ is possible (in the right company). For L4/SDEII, $60-80K is possible. Maybe even higher. If I were you, I would aim for $65-70k at least.

No visa issues as such .. being close to family is the main motivation.
