indeed karat interview
Hi all, i have an interview scheduled with karat for sr.software engineer. can someone please provide any inputs or share previous questions not sure what to expect #indeed #karat #interview #helpinpreparing
@TnHg47 All this should be completed in onehour?? It is very difficult to manage time in this case.
You’ll have exactly 45 minutes to code. If you’re well practiced with lc it should be fairly manageable. You should be able to complete the first easier question in about 15 minutes. That will leave you 30 minutes to work on the second question. If you have remaining time, you can work on the third question but you can feel good about your performance having finished two questions. Karat also offers a redo so if you don’t do so well on your first attempt (or the questions just didn’t sit well with you) you can try again.
Thanks for your input @TnHg47 I am not knowing about the redo part. Do we need to check with indeed or Karat on the redo?
@TnHg47 will the coding questions be from Leetcode?
They are not on leetcode afaik but they are the same style of questions. Leetcode would prepare you very well for this interview.

What were the questions?
Shouldn’t be very tough if you practice often on leetcode. I was able to solve all the 3 before the time limit. Last 2 will be follow up questions.
They mostly ask HashMap based questions, but the problem is they want a working solution of at least two problems, in 45 mins.
Not true for the first part but yes for the second part.

I took it with redo and found completing the second question in time was very difficult
@nWiY54 when did you take interview?
Expect 3 coding questions in the language of your choice. First will be lc easy/medium. Second two will be roughly lc medium possibly on the harder side of medium. You should aim to complete at least the first two questions. Your code will be expected to run on the online ide and pass the provided test cases.
