Interviewed over a month and a half period for a position in digital product for a senior/lead position that no one who interviewed me had information about. Further, as this was a lead/senior position, all of the interviewers were in junior positions and none were close to the team I would lead. Odd to not have any peer reviews/discussions given my decades of experience in the industry. It felt like a huge mismatch. It felt almost like the interviewers had little experience interviewing prospects. Finally, after 3 interviews get a form rejection email without any real personal feedback or contact from recruiter. For the amount of time spent preparing for interviews and given sparse information about the position, the experience was amateurish. Grateful for people on the other end spending time to speak to me but what is up with interview process these days? #interviews #design
Any reason, here's one from my old job: There was a reorg and the role got shuffled. Orginal hiring manager left and no leadership was available, so HR just grabbed a few people left on that team. They totally messed up the interview (being late, asking questions not relevant, could not answer anything about the role itself…) Horrible management and work culture.
