Avoid Mailchimp like the plague.

The total compensation was already lackluster before the pandemic and acquisition by Intuit. It seems even more so now the company is unwilling to match the current market. They are NOT competitive. It’s why we’re seeing roughly 25% to 30% of the workforce at Mailchimp has left. Long tenured engineers, product managers, key influential directors, design, and content strategists are leaving in absolute droves each week. Intuit’s team assigned to Mailchimp is in panic mode. They’ve only recently decided that maybe they should put together a retention strategy. It’s a bit late for that. Entire teams have resigned and found that they can get higher compensation elsewhere at companies with more competent leadership. In this market and with remote being the norm, I’d encourage anyone interested in Mailchimp to look literally anywhere else. Save yourself the trouble and headache.

It is a total shit show. It is far too late for retention strategies because frankly they haven't even figured out what the new operating models are - so retain people into what, what is the organizational model? The Intuit leaders and culture are bringing out the absolute worse possible behaviors in Mailchimp leaders who weren't the most mature to begin with. Further, Intuit is simply spreading it's own brand of toxic positivity over everything and planning to excuse away the botched integration by saying current disengagement and attrition is due to folks feeling disconnected in a virtual environment, things will get better when folks are back in the office. They're already spinning this ridiculous narrative.

Are they not paying new hires on par with intuit?
